Innovation

Building automation involves the intelligent interaction of systems and solutions for precisely controlling and monitoring various building functions such as heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems (HVAC), lighting, security systems and energy management. The purpose of building automation is to increase user comfort, improve energy efficiency and reduce operating costs. Building automation systems use data-based analyses and networked systems to continuously monitor operation, detect setpoint deviations and automatically initiate corrective action. This not only reduces the environmental impact, but also improves the sustainability and economic viability of real estate.

SAUTER smart actuator

The digital change does not even stop at field devices of building services engineering. This applies not least to valves and actuators for regulating and controlling water as a carrier medium for heating and cooling energy. As part of its digitalisation strategy, SAUTER is extending its tried and tested range of drives with the new generation of IoT-capable smart actuators. Valve and damper actuators are among the most important components in energy distribution. They are used in heating and ventilation systems as in room automation. The range of applications can be expanded with the optional I/O box. For example, the Smart Actuator controls the energy flow with automatic hydraulic balancing in individual room control or in heating/cooling systems.

The IoT-capable SAUTER Smart Actuator is an intelligent solution for energy distribution in smart buildings and is easy to put into operation. The connector system and pre-assembled cables ensure particularly fast, error-free commissioning. While installation time is reduced by up to 1/3 of the usual time, the mechanical and colour coding eliminates wiring errors. Compared to a conventional installation with controllers and valve drives, the size and costs of the control cabinet panels are reduced. The Smart Actuator reduces the fire load thanks to less cabling.

SAUTER smart spaces

Intelligent building management means meeting the new user requirements for networking and comfort.

The classic functions of room and building automation are supplemented with functions for the efficient management of space and the tracking of assets and / or people. In this video we take you on a journey into the possibilities of digitalisation!

ESG compliance tool

How can you achieve important ESG criteria such as reducing your carbon footprint, increasing the well-being score and improving your risk management? With Digital Services, SAUTER presents a solution that supports you in mastering these challenges. We help real estate managers, such as the asset manager, to reduce energy costs and increase service quality. In addition, they benefit from meaningful reporting.

Facility managers benefit from faster response times when troubleshooting and thus they have no unplanned downtimes. Property owners increase the attractiveness for their residents through enhanced well-being, and meet their climate goals by reducing their carbon footprint.

SAUTER Vision Center 8.1: Focus on security and ease of use.

he latest version of SAUTER Vision Center (SVC) combines BACnet/SC Hub, 2-factor authentication and single sign-on. With optimised dashboard functions and even more flexible operating options, SVC 8.1 offers an efficient solution for the needs of today’s building operation.

SVC 8.1

SAUTER Vision Center (SVC) meets the demands of building operators for comprehensive building, energy and maintenance management. Thanks to its modular structure the web-based management tool, in the HTML5 standard, enables the operation, analysis and visualisation of building functions with maximum flexibility, regardless of location or system. The latest version, SVC 8.1, presents a joint approach to security and ease of use.

The highlights of SVC 8.1 include:

  1. BACnet/SC Hub: This function enables encrypted data transmission with full BACnet functionality for decentralised buildings and premises. The BACnet/SC protocol is used in the cloud solution (Vision Services) and can now also be used in the private cloud by local IT departments.
  2. 2FA and SSO: SVC 8.1 implements essential security requirements through the introduction of 2-factor authentication (2FA) and single sign-on (SSO). The combination of 2FA and SSO offers a balanced approach between security and usability.
  3. Optimised energy management: A new function enables the adjustment of a setpoint, such as the room temperature, for several objects at the same time. Additional functional enhancements facilitate the use of templates and charts, which optimises operation and set-up efficiency, especially in large-scale projects.
